Hello all my peoplesz out there reading ze blog! How are y'all? Last saturday... ermm... erm.. what was it..? the 26th! Ah yes. Anyway, so it was very like, nature like and stuff. (Right....)
Photobucket
See? All the foliage and stuff. It was the same as walking through a forest, not to mention all the mosquito bites. So anyway, we first when to the Mangrove part of the field trip (ACS (BR) and PLMGS.) So yeah.
Photobucket
Frankly, this part wasn't very interesting, it was just, muddy, and alot of screaming about mudskippers and stuff. My friend felt mean so he curled up his paper and nudged a girl's ear; She thought it was an insect and screamed! HAHA!
Anyway...
Photobucket
My fren also found this, which later he accidentally dropped into the sea...
Photobucket
Sigh. What a doltz.
Photobucket
Very nice right?
Photobucket
The path's overhead 'ceiling' looked like this. Very natural, quite cool.

The last one was kinda stupid, cos i dint even catch a glimpse of a croc.
Oh yeah, you know in that pond inside the post above, i saw a terapin.
Photobucket
Oh yeah. I saved the best for last! We actually got to see, (and touch,) a real live monitor lizard! A small baby one! It was being attacked by ants, so the tour guide put it inside a tupperware, and let us take a look. (A girl really killed my ear at this part.)

Then, there was a fat one somewhere else sunbathing. Lol
Photobucket
We learned how to use a datalogger, though i don't think i'll use one again, all the equipment is like, really expensive. I think.
Photobucket
Oh well, funnier stuff happened, but it's quite embarrasing, (For me and friends) to say. So yeah.
*Zip*
Oh and, Goodbye Joel, from CG, we had a farewell party for him. Have a nice time at your new church, (AC Barker Methodist) Sigh. The irony, a sad occasion which was so happy..>?

So anyway,If y'all come across Sungei Buloh, give it 'er try! It's not so bad, what i showed you is probably only half or a quarter! Just keep your voice down or the animals will leave. (No i'm serious.) So like, when talking, talk thru telepathy. *WoooooW* Or sign language. I mean, if someone went into your house and started to talk loudly and rubbishly (?) wouldn't you leave? So yeah. Be in the eyes of the animal. They may even attack. (I'm just kidding) So, yeah. See you when i see you.

Last friday, on the 18th of July, my school had their 'annual' inter-house games day. Where the houses of the school battled head to head in whatever sports the student indulges himself in. Me you ask? Well, if you hadn't guessed by the title, it's floorball. What's floorball you ask? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floorball there. lol. Im sorry, it's too hard to explain that it's a variation of hockey. Anyway, it was really fun, i was goalkeep but got to play once, unfortunately, i couldn't score any goals cos well, no chances, not very good, my team at that time wasn't as good as the normal one to let me get a goal (A lousy player like me) (Yes we have one main team which won, but there were other people in the team which we had to sub in. Actually, not had, just you know, let everyone try. :D) SO.. yeah. Our team won!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Yeah, i had to edit the plate or you wouldn't be able to see the words. Yeah. sooo... The game. Right. My team played SUPERBLY. So well, that i only had to save... say... about 10 times? While the other teams had to save like, alot more. lol. My team was so good, that they usually kept the ball at the other team's side, which made me feel quite useless, but i never let anything in when the ball came. I think only once or twice. Anyway, The sad thing was when we battled the much-huger much-tougher SUPER-speeded much-older Teachers. We lost 1-3. I won't go into detail. :P

So anyway, whenever you guys are free, you should go to the people in my links! *Specially Shafi* They're cool. And they're funny. Yeah.... Soo.... i'll see you next time when i run into something i wanna post, like running into a Post box! Okay that was lame. Anyway, Stay tuned.

The earth buckled beneath the weight of his cermite boots. He ran across the battlefield, energy rifle, charged and ready, to decimate his enemies.

A Girl with Ice-Blue hair which popped out of her green visor/helmet, and she also had a rifle in her hands. But it was larger, and she was swaying slightly from side to side at it's sheer weight. (*Note: go read the "Proper first post" In may, just go to history in the nav bars, then to may 2008, then scroll downwards, don't read the posts of "Arias" and "Finish" And all the long stories, they're waay to boring, but the ones with pics aren't so bad. Remember, "Proper first post" If you don't know who the girl with ice blue hair is. End of note*)

The man, with red hair squeezing out of the gaps in his helmet, swung the energy rifle to face the girl, and fired, a long beam of red penetrating the sky, rippling the earth beneath it, sending debris flying across the battlefield. But, no matter how powerful it looked, once it touched the girl, it merely dissipated. Th-

"WAIT A SECOND!" A Brown-haired catgirl rips the scene in half, and continues to shout, "HEY! WHY DOES RELIRA AND KYO GET SUCH COOL STUFF? WHERE AM I?!?!?"

Well. Now we see a catgirl in a building near the battle, curling up in a ball of cowardice-
"HEY! WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! I WANNA BE IN THAT BATTLE!"
Oh hush. You'll get your turn soon enough.
"WHY NOT NOW!?" (In the midst of all this, Relira and Kyo look at the two arguing, with jaws dropped. Then they exit----stage left!)

Anywaaay... "hey you! i'm not finished yet! Come back here you dumb creator! I'm warnin-" (Dashes at the speed of light to another place) Okay. Well.. on to buisness. It seems that my cousin is taking part in battle of the bands! I don't reallly know what it is, but i wanna go. Cos my cuz is inside, yes he's the one in my links. Okay. All for now. Adios!

YES! My team won for Literature Festival!!! YAY ACS BARKER! And we only had two days to rehearse! WEEEE!
Y'see, we entered for the poetry slam part of the festival. And won! Wow. Was it nerve wrecking, after we finished reading our poem (We were first up, cos of ACS.) all we could do was wait for all the other teams to finish and seeing their scores was... well... really nervous for us. So anyway- it comprised of three rounds, where we won the third round. cos (i think) They don't tabulate scores. So here it is! The Trophy!
Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket
(K i got the better picture, but here's what the plate says anyway):

Mid Year National Youth Poetry Slam League Competition
The national Youth Literature Festival 2008
First Position
Presented by Word Forward Limited

My group: Me (randall), Dennis, Reuben, Shafi and Justin. + Teacher, Ms. Sheila.

Now, you know what pissed us off?
Yeah so we won first position, so you'd think that it would be like, and in first place we have..... ACS BARKER ROAD! Then everyone cheers and all the other barker people go like, crazy. BUT the STUPID organisers made the announcing guy tell us to all go up and like, get our trophies at one shot. Because, Because right- well, he said that we won by decimal points and stuff and blah blah, organisers thought it would be better if we all just got the trophies together. blah blah. But it looked like we drew! Like, SUPER AKWARD Standing up there with two other groups.... But we got first! it says there on the cup, and a judge smsed my teacher and told her that we were the outright winners!
so it's like:
1st position: ACS BARKER ROAD!
2nd position: MGS.
3rd position: Hwa Yi

Though it wasn't like.. officially said. At least we know we won. Yay! Anyway, the rest of the post will be the three poems used. Knock yourself out. Have a Mochi nice day!

Random thought of the day: Gone with the wind.

Peace- Literacy~~~~

1st round: A poem which has the theme: "Singapore's voices", or "The Earth speaks", (Earth's voices)

There is a field,
Where dreams become reality.
But it has been sealed away.
Oh, what a tragedy …

This is a tale of four men.
And their adventure to reveal this mystery
Ventured through many lands, and even got a tan,
Kicked dodo birds out of history! (Literally!)
Crossed deserts and mountains,
And even saw unicorns drinking booze from magical fountains!
(Fantasy! Fantasy! Fantasy!)

They were caught for felony a few times,
But that created more enzymes! (Protease, Maltase, Lipase!)
Then they were eaten by a killer whale,
But when they went inside it was a – Robinson’s Sale!
Then they fought zapping transformers,
Which they beat with lawn mowers!

At long last, they reached the gate of fate,
Which brought them to the field.
Ms. Universe was waving in her corner,
We had to show some appeal.

This was our field!
It was green!
But now, it’s just a dream!
The field,
by Randall Wee
2nd round: a poem by a local writer/poet

During Hari Raya she knocks on my conscience,
I knock on her door and I give her cakes.

She says she likes them and gives me
Sweets with gelatine inside. I throw them away.
Poor woman, dosen’t know how to make cakes.
Her children eat Maggi after school everyday.

That’s why the elder one is in Normal stream
And the younger one can’t spell her name.

If I was her age I wouldn’t be wearing shorts at home.
No shame, she dosen’t know how to hide her womanhood.

When the children are naughty and I beat them
I close the door: I hear she’s a gossip.

But she beats her children harder than I do
What to do her children are like that.
I once heard her scream she wanted to kill herself.
These people never value their own lives.

Other times I see her I smile and she smiles back
And her children smile and call me auntie.

But in our hands we hold with fists clenched tight
The keys to our homes, each night we slam the bolt shut.

Neighbours,
by Alfian Sa’at
3rd round: An original piece.
(Batman Theme is hummed in background)
I wish I had the power of invisibility I could go wherever I wan to places where no one will see me or steal a pair of shoes

I would go to the girl’s locker room or steal from the bank

I’d go to the land of magical shrooms and make people stare at nothing but blank

I’d want another power a little teleportation god knows it’s the best form of transportation

From the merlion to the Eiffel Tower we need a getaway when were seen when that happens we go vrrooom

Let me sing you a Sweet melancholy
Of the tale of an escapee

Her gullible heart was saddened
After the wound in her heart deepedend

A bird stuck in a cage, with its wings clipped.
Her sense of trust totally flipped.

Her only guiding light- Her only sibling.
A short nudge on the winding road to - death - was singing.

The cage was torn asunder
But this was a gargantuan blunder
And the irony of it all;
was that she would fall.

In the midst of all the strife,
is that her only hope was the one who had raised the knife.

Why was a monster spawned from hope?
And gave her pain with which she could not cope?

Greed was her hope's wrong.
Money is the evil of this song.

~Let me sing you a sweet melancholy~

There. Done. Phew. If you're wondering why im posting all these poems is because of the fact that these are rejects from the poems i made for litfest. *smile* *smile*

... I've been reading Harry potter since the last month of last year. I know you're all thinking either "i could've read those lightweight books in a week!" or "Who's Harry Potter?" Okay, he's a fantastical character - a wizard. So yeah, reading all 7 of them in a row is really boring. I'm currently at number 6 and am very bored after first chapter. I'm thinking of moving to another book (Which is very appealing) Or to just continue reading. See if i don't continue and read the other book, i lose my train of thought and forget what i've read, though it's just 1 book....

Hmm... Give me your suggestions in the tag box. Press that tagger button, yes the one on the screen. And then you all know what to do (I hope)

Right now, at this very instant. I am listening to Cobra Starship. Yes. They may be KINDA Unknown. But they aren't. And now you know them. Go check out City is at war or Guilty pleasure at Youtube (both songs.) (they also did that song for snakes on a plane)They're really good. You know.

Now onto More pressing news, Did i tell you i joined litfest? i frgt.

Anyways.....i have absolutely nothing to talk about. So let's look at paint dry.

....Paint.....

Wait- you know, for all those classical readers out there, you should read the book called "Gone with the wind." Really. I'm not joking. NO really!

Sigh.. today haf 2 go back 2 school for rehearsal (for litfest). And 2day's a public holiday, well it's not like i really mind... If i stay at home the whole day again i'll die. Again. Well, here's a poem i made for litfest.

The Rhyming City

There is a city,
Somewhere in Mississippi,
A hidden city, which no one finds,
But merely step into it, blind.

There was once a man named Jake,
He came across this city,
On his way to a lake,
And realized, he wasn’t anymore in Mississippi!

The city was bright and the buildings tall
Everyone was happy; everyone was having a ball.
However, something was absurdly wrong in the town
Everything rhymed, every sound.

Novels, which he browsed in stores,
Conversations, which he heard in shores.
And even sound, like bada-bing-bada-boom
Little did he know, this was to be his doom.

He walked through the bizarre town full of alarming things
He even saw a man with a head shaped like a duckling
Confused, he rang the doorbell for a house.
“Hello, Hello? I am Jake, and am wearing a blouse.”

He had not intended to say that, but it seemed he HAD to rhyme.
The door opened, and a woman brought him in, looking at the time.
She turned to him, her face looking warm. “Would you like tea?”
“Yes. And for a side dish, bring me a pea.”

The woman turned and walked away. This was way too bizarre for Jake.
Maybe this was a dream, and everything here was fake.
He pinched himself, and oh did it hurt.
He gasped in pain, and grabbed his shirt.

The woman came in again, and said, “I’m sorry, there’s no more tea.”
“That’s okay. I just want to pee.”
Jake got up, and proceeded to the toilet, hands shaking with fear.
I’ve GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE!

What if I say something to rhyme but It comes out wrong.
Will I get beaten up? Will they sing me a song?!?!
What the??!? IT”S WORSENING! IT”S EVEN IN MY MIND!
Thinking of this, now Jake knew a escape path was his to find.

He ran out into the streets, and saw a sign, reading “Way out”.
He ran for the path, bumping into someone who screamed, “YOU LOUT!”

When he got out, he finally escaped, he stopped rhyming.
That was when he realized, a part of him actually liked it
He liked the rhyming and the bizarreness.
It gave life so much- Zest- so much- Uniqueness, instead of the usual grind.
Maybe his escape was really to the city of rhymes, and not to escape out of it.

Dosen’t everyone want to escape from normal life every now and then?
Brilliant isn't it? Haha. Just kiddin'. I hoped you liked it. And please. TAG ME! ><>
AND WHY THE HELL DID NADAL WIN???
The consistently heartstopping 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 classic began at 2.35pm and thanks to a couple of breaks for rain (surely necessary for the spectators to catch their breath), it ended at 9.15pm with the 22-year-old from Mallorca dropping to the ground with his arms outstretched in celebration. YAERGH! WHY FEDERER?!?! WHY DID YOU LET HIM WIN!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! WHYYYYYY!?!
Peace- The city is at war.

I have an old recorder

who's behaviour's kind of queer

listens to hardly any order

and speaks like a seer

It's more or less at home

sitting down and passing the time

it speaks the same lines again and again

and is not much taller than a gnome.

Luckily, it never does any crime

and advising others is its game.

This old recorder, really is a recorder

It never steps out of place,

Repeats the same lines day and night

every time in a different order.

A smile is frequently on its face,

And resents every fight.

But alas, it does forget

sometimes what people do say.

A thousand faces it has met

but most forgotten in a day.

Oh this old recorder, i really do love it so

But it's part of high maintainence

and i have to bend low

But still, it isn't there for my convenience

It's one thing that i love alot!

Haha This is a poem i made about someone, who i wont tell you about, haha. Maybe alot of people out there can relate to me. (Cry). Oh well, it's not so bad.
So anyway, I'm going to participate in Litfest! (literature fest) As a poetry slam guy. Wooooo~~~~ In case you don't know what that is, go to www.youtube.com and check it out. Just type "Poetry Slam". Solid.
Peace- To be or not to be.
